Rocla - Manufacturing concrete pipes and precast concrete pipes in South Africa.
The Interlocking Joint pipe is a non-watertight pipe for use in stormwater systems. The male/female joints form inside so there is no widening of the pipe, and therefore the outside dimensions remain constant.
The Rubber Ring Spigot and socket Joint Pipe is a watertight pipe for use in Sewer applications where aggressive groundwater is kept out of the system, or aggressive system contents are kept within.
The In-the-Wall Joint pipe is a watertight pipe using a sliding rubber ring in the joint.
The joint is formed inside the wall of the pipe, making this type of pipe ideal for jacking or tunneling operations.
Rocla wingwall units are used at both the inlet and outlet of a pipe system in both culvert and stormwater applications. These wingwall units allow for a natural flow path, both upstream and downstream.
High-Density Polyethylene lined pipes offer the advantages of conventional concrete pipes as well as plastic pipes as they are able to maintain shape under load and are inert to acid attack. Ideal for large diameter gravity pipeline.
Sacrificial Layer Pipes are used for sewer reticulation. The inside of the joint consists of Portland cement and Silicates which won’t give the same resistance to corrosion as the layer in the barrel of the pipe.
The Rectangular Portal Culvert is used in storm-water applications, primarily in providing a waterway underneath a road or pathway. The unit consists of a deck and two legs and is placed on a concrete base.
In instances where time-critical installations of culvert crossings are required, then the “Precast Culvert Base Slab” is and ideal solution. It is designed and manufactured to suit the Precast Concrete Portal culverts already
Rocla’s custom designed jacking culverts are the largest to be manufactured in South Africa. The customer required 3m x 3m custom-made jacking box culvert for a service delivery project. Used to create 50m tunnels, 6m below the road
The SATS Portal Culvert is used in stormwater applications with high loadings, primarily in providing a waterway underneath a railway line. The unit consists of a deck and two legs and is placed on a concrete base.
The Manhole is a working chamber, which is installed at intervals along a pipeline in order to provide technical access to the pipeline. This is mainly for inspections and maintenance. Special sizes can also be accommodated.
The airport manhole consists of a 1meter chamber section with a 100mm cast in base. This section has a female joint similar to that of the IJ pipe. The joint itself is used for centering the manhole cover slab during installation.
Rocla has been given access to this system that REBLOC has developed. This is their own vehicle restraint system made of prefabricated concrete elements and has had it extensively tested in accordance with this standard.
With the majority of South Africa’s commuters utilizing taxi or bus facilities, Rocla has introduced a safe and convenient shelter for these commuters. This versatile unit provides shelter from the sun and rain as well as seating.
Beany Blocks have excellent surface drainage efficiency. Together with its comparatively large flow capacity/unit ratio, makes it superior to and more cost effective than conventional kerbing and drainage for roadway designs.
Roadside furniture is a robust and pristine concrete product that can be seen all along our main roads, schools, businesses, play parks and at picnic areas.
